Terms & Conditions

By booking an appointment at Bark To The Future, you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions:

  • Pre-existing Conditions: Bark To The Future cannot be held liable for any pre-existing conditions discovered during the grooming process. If any issues are found, we will alert you immediately and recommend veterinary attention if necessary.
  • Health Information: Please inform us of any changes in your dog's health prior to the appointment. If your dog may have a contagious condition (e.g., conjunctivitis, skin issues), please let us know before attending.
  • Aggression: If your dog has any aggressive tendencies, it is essential that you inform us before the appointment. We reserve the right to stop the grooming session if the dog becomes unmanageable, and we may use a soft and humane muzzle if necessary.
  • In-Season Dogs: We cannot accept dogs that are in season for grooming appointments.
  • Flea Policy: If you suspect your dog may have fleas, please inform us before the appointment. There is an additional charge of £10 per dog if fleas are found. In such cases, the dog will be bathed in a specialist flea shampoo, and every other dog in the salon, as well as our resident animals, will need to be treated. All towels, bedding, and clothing will be bagged and laundered separately, and the salon and equipment will undergo a thorough deep clean to maintain hygiene.
  • Hot Weather & Grooming: During hot summer months or high temperatures, we may recommend a shorter cut (depending on the breed) to ensure your dog's comfort in the heat. If you prefer your dog’s cut to remain longer, a form will be provided to cover us in case of any health issues, such as heatstroke.

De-Matting & Clipping Policy:

Unfortunately, some dogs develop severe matting in their coats. Mats can trap moisture, dirt, and bacteria, and they pull on the skin, which may restrict your dog’s movement. Attempting to de-matt a severely matted coat could cause your dog significant stress and discomfort, which may make future grooming experiences more difficult for them.

Mats are commonly found in areas such as the groin, under the armpits, around the tail, and can also form across the whole body, especially if brushing hasn’t fully penetrated the coat. These mats can even limit your dog’s sense of touch, making it uncomfortable for them when being petted. In these cases, the kindest and quickest option is to completely clip off the matted coat, allowing your dog to feel more comfortable.

De-Matting Time and Pricing:

  • De-matting/Complete Clip-off: Up to 1 hour - £40
  • Additional Time: £15 per half hour (maximum of 3 hours)
  • Additional Appointments: If further sessions are needed, they will start at £15 per half hour.
  •  De-matting prices do not include a bath service.

Please Note: De-matting and/or clipping a matted coat can be a lengthy and delicate process, both for the dog and for the groomer. As such, additional time will be charged based on the severity of the matting to compensate for the loss of booking slots and the extra maintenance required for equipment.

Emmi-Pet Teeth Clean

Please be aware of the following information before the appointment:

  • Health & Temperament: This treatment is only suitable for dogs in good health and with a calm temperament. We reserve the right to stop the procedure at any time if we feel the dog is becoming anxious, uncomfortable, or aggressive.
  • Liability Disclaimer: We cannot be held responsible for any underlying health issues that may be discovered during the teeth cleaning process.
  • Post-Treatment Recommendations: If any concerns or issues are identified, they will be documented and explained to you after the appointment.
  • Service Purpose: Please note that this is not a teeth-whitening service. Our goal is to safely remove plaque and tartar, promoting healthier teeth and gums. Results may vary from dog to dog.
  • Emmi-Pet Information: Leaflets with more information about the Emmi-Pet technology are available for your reference.
  • Maintenance: For long-term dental health, we recommend scheduling regular maintenance sessions to minimize plaque buildup and maintain your dog's oral health.

Thank you for booking an Emmi-Pet teeth cleaning appointment with us and trusting us with your dog's dental care!

Deposit Policy:

When booking an appointment for your dog, a non-refundable deposit of 50% will be required at the time of booking. The remaining 50% will be due upon collecting your dog.

Photograph Consent:

Please be aware that your dog may be photographed during the grooming process. We reserve the right to use these photos on our website and in other promotional materials, unless you request otherwise.

Appointment Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy:

  • Rescheduling: If you call to reschedule your appointment more than 48 hours before the scheduled time, we will transfer your deposit to the new appointment.
  • Cancellations: If you cancel less than 48 hours before the appointment, the deposit will be retained. You will be required to pay a new deposit for the rescheduled appointment.
  • Alternative Drop-Off or Collection: Please inform us in advance if someone other than yourself will be dropping off or collecting your dog. If you are unable to bring your dog, please let us know beforehand what services you would like us to perform. If no instructions are provided, we will proceed with the same service as the previous visit.
  • Collection Timing: Whoever is collecting your dog must be available to pick them up when they are ready. If the dog is not collected within 40 minutes of us contacting you or your designated person, a £10 charge will be added to your bill. This is due to our limited capacity for holding dogs, as we are insured to care for only a specific number at a time.
  • Late Arrivals: Arriving late for your appointment may prevent us from completing the full service you requested. In this case, you may need to reschedule, and the original fee for the appointment will still apply.

Please note that any introductory or loyalty discounts will be void if you miss your previous appointment or make a late cancellation.

It is the responsibility of the pet owner (or the person who made the booking) to remember the scheduled appointment.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Your much-loved pets are always our number one priority!

Service Feedback:

  • If you are not satisfied with the service provided, please inform us before leaving the premises. If you do not notify us at that time, any requested alterations will require a new appointment, and a new deposit will be required.
  • No refunds will be given.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

To secure your booking, we require that our Terms & Conditions be signed on our booking system, Fresha, before your appointment. If the T&Cs are not signed, your deposit will be refunded. Please make sure to complete this step to confirm your reservation!
